QWho can be referred to the Children and Young People's Service?
AWe provide art therapy to any child or young person aged between 5 and 18 years old who have experienced sexual assault or abuse (recent or historic.)

We also provide art therapy to any child or young person aged between 5 and 18 years old who have experienced any type of abuse.
QWhat is Art Therapy?
AArt therapy is about providing a safe space to explore and express feelings, relationships, events, behaviour and creativity through drawing, painting and making things.  Art therapy allows a person to go beyond making art as an activity.

In art therapy the young person is encouraged to make their own kind of art and to talk about their feelings towards it.“You don’t need to be artistic or creative to benefit from art therapy.  It can be just as effective for those with no art making abilities.”
QDo you provide an outreach service?
AYes we do. We are able to visit young people in any safe environment. We are also able to provide art therapy to groups of young people in places such as Schools, Surestart Centres, Safe-houses, Refuges etc.
